Privacy policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
This policy explains how Bruvé Jewels collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit bruvejewels.com, place an order or contact us. Bruvé Jewellery Ltd. is responsible for the personal information we control.

Information we collect
- Contact and account information: your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, and account details if you create an account.
- Orders and payments: items purchased, payment status, transaction details, delivery information and return or refund history. Payment providers process your payment details; please do not email us full card numbers or security codes.
- Customer service information: messages you send us and any photographs or videos you choose to provide about an item. Please keep unrelated personal information and other people out of these images.
- Website activity: IP address, approximate location, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, pages and products viewed, and interactions with our store and advertising.
- Preferences: your marketing, cookie and privacy choices.
We receive information directly from you, automatically through our website, and from Shopify, payment services, delivery providers and other service providers involved in your interaction with us. If you do not provide information needed to complete an order, we may be unable to fulfil it.
How we use information
We use information to process payments, fulfil and deliver orders, handle returns, maintain accounts, answer questions, prevent fraud, protect our website, maintain records and meet legal obligations. We also use store activity to understand and improve the shopping experience and, subject to your choices and applicable law, personalise content and advertising.
We send promotional messages where permitted by law and with consent where required. You can unsubscribe through the link in our marketing emails or by contacting us. Order, delivery and other essential service messages may still be sent.
Legal bases for UK and EEA customers
Where UK or European data protection law applies, we rely on performance of a contract for orders and related service; legal obligations for required records and disclosures; and legitimate interests for security, fraud prevention, customer support and proportionate service improvement, after considering your rights. Where required, we rely on consent for non-essential tracking and marketing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may object to direct marketing at any time.
Who receives information
We disclose the relevant information to Shopify, payment processors, fulfilment and delivery providers, technology and support providers, and analytics or advertising partners where permitted by law and your choices. These organisations receive information needed for their services and may also have their own legal responsibilities. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and prevent fraud, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate protections.
Shopify and personalised advertising
Our store runs on Shopify. Shopify processes information to operate the store and, for certain services, for its own purposes. We use Shopify Network Intelligence, which combines information about interactions with our store with information from Shopify and other merchants to improve services, personalisation and advertising. Advertising-related disclosures may count as a “sale”, “sharing” or targeted advertising under some US privacy laws, even without a cash payment.
Read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy for Shopify’s practices. You can make requests about Shopify’s own processing through its Privacy Portal.
Cookies and your choices
We use essential cookies for functions such as shopping baskets, checkout and security. Non-essential cookies and similar technologies support analytics, personalisation and advertising. Where consent is required, you can accept, reject or change non-essential choices through the cookie controls shown on our website. You can also manage cookies in your browser, although blocking essential cookies may affect shopping functions.
Use our data-sharing opt-out page to exercise available sale, sharing and targeted-advertising choices. We recognise Global Privacy Control as an opt-out signal where applicable. It applies to the browser/device sending it and, where Shopify can associate it with an account, to that account. Other browser “Do Not Track” signals do not automatically change our processing. Advertising partners may collect activity over time and across websites, subject to the controls described above.
International processing
We operate from Los Angeles, have a registered address in the UK, and use service providers operating internationally. Information may therefore be processed in the United States, United Kingdom, European Economic Area and other countries where our providers operate. Shopify currently identifies the European Union as our customer-data hosting location; hosting there does not mean all processing stays there.
Where required for transfers from the UK or EEA, appropriate safeguards must apply, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards, including the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and relevant UK transfer terms. Contact us for information about safeguards applicable to your information and how to obtain a copy.
Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose collected, considering active accounts, order fulfilment, returns, applicable accounting and tax requirements, dispute and claim periods, fraud prevention and your privacy requests. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it, subject to lawful backup retention. We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may request access to, a copy of, correction of or deletion of your information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or request portability. You may also have rights to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising and to appeal a refused request. These rights have legal exceptions.
Email bruve.jewels@gmail.com with your request. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorised agent’s authority. We will respond within the applicable legal timeframe and will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To appeal, email us with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line.
You may complain to your local data protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or the relevant EEA supervisory authority, without contacting us first.
Children and external websites
Our store is intended for adults and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. External websites linked from our store have their own privacy policies.
Changes and contact
We will post updates here, change the date above and provide additional notice where required. For questions or privacy requests, contact Bruvé Jewellery Ltd. at the email or registered address above.
